In organization by the Ministry of Local Self-Government in hotel "Meriot", Skopje, representatives of the Centres for Development of the Planning Region presented the approved projects through the Grant Scheme for Investment and Grant Scheme for Innovative Projects provided through the project "Sustainable and Inclusive Balanced Regional Development", Implemented by the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in charge of economic issues and coordination of e Cotonous departments, and with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

 

In organization by the Ministry of Local Self-Government in hotel "Meriot", Skopje, representatives of the Centres for Development of the Planning Region presented the approved projects through the Grant Scheme for Investment and Grant Scheme for Innovative Projects provided through the project "Sustainable and Inclusive Balanced Regional Development", Implemented by the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in charge of economic issues and coordination of e Cotonous departments, and with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

At the ceremony, the Manager of the Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region Mrs. Zhulieta Gjurkova together with the Minister of Local Self-Government, Mr. Suheil Fazliu, signed the contracts for the two approved projects:

"Agrometeorological stations for the protection of agricultural crops and the environment" approved project within the Grant Scheme for Investment Projects, the main objective of which is to improve the management of crops and environmental conditions by introducing modern technologies in agriculture, with a total value of CHF 94,472.59 and the project "Co-working space - A Tool for Strengthening Cooperation with the Business Sector" approved project within the Grant Scheme for Innovative Projects, whose main goal is improving the entrepreneurial environment for the promotion of SMEs in the Southeast Region, with total value of 38.979,39 CHF.

The Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region will implement these two new projects with financial support from the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The two new regional projects will have a direct impact on improving the quality of life, regional cooperation and promoting an innovative approach to providing services to all stakeholders.

The projects were selected in an inclusive way with the direct participation of the citizens from the all Southeast region. The project "Agrometeorological stations for the protection of agricultural crops and the environment" was selected as an investment project by the citizens through the regional community forums conducted in the South-East planning region, while the project "Co-working space – A tool for Strengthening Cooperation with the Business Sector" as an innovative was selected in a participatory manner with the active participation of the representatives from the municipalities, the non-governmental, educational and business sector of the South-East planning region.
